Dad’s Birthday
My father celebrated his 50th birthday during Holy Week. We are Roman Catholics so during his birthday we never prepared meals that are made from pork and chicken. We have to go fasting for his birthday. His birthday was really simple. We only prepared meals made of fish. We could not even sing in karaoke or dance. It was not good to have a happy celebration for it was the time when Christ was dead. We only greeted him and sing a happy birthday for him. Of course, all of us were very prepared for his 50th birthday presents. We were really happy to see dad so happy with our simple gifts for him. He really appreciated it. My gift for him was a baseball cap. Even today he still wears it wherever he goes. I am glad that my gift for him is very useful. I bought the baseball cap in a sports shop.
