Four Guys on the Train
I have a couple of friends that I met while on this crazy European train trip. I bought one of those tickets that lets you go anywhere, so you can pretty much go to any country you want. Except for those dangerous ones that you hear about on the news so much. But anyway, I met these guys while this one guy was trying to hit on this girl by giving her an acoustic guitar lesson. I'm not sure if it worked, because they didn't really leave together. But I'm pretty sure he at least got her number. But before I forgot, I have to tell you about this other guy, who is a master juggler. I'm not sure what country he is from, but they actually have different skill levels of juggling, so that you can ask for more money when you juggle on the street. All you have to do is to show your certificate, and people have to leave you more money or something. It's pretty crazy, let me tell you. But I haven't heard from those guys in a while. I hope they didn't end up in one of those dangerous countries where they do bad things.

Music is like humor, it's relative to each individuals taste... So having said that, I want to plug a new artist I've found that in my opinion is the best new indie artist. Speck 5 (a solo project of creative machine, Alan Currens) is putting out a brand of indie music that defies simple classification. There seems to be no real limitations on style or direction with this artist. Only a serious desire to create. Alan writes, performs, produces and promotes all of his own material, and when you hear it that may seem extremely unlikely. But it's true. Check him out at speck5.Com - the first few tracks really illustrate the versatility and variety that is on the CD 21st Century Freak. I've written Alan through the site and he says that more is coming soon (as of oct 2010). I'm most excited to learn what he has up his sleeve since he told me "it's nothing like anything on the first CD and it's just as scattered with genre and instrumentation. Should be good!
