We Like the Blob– Best Movie Ever Made
Yes SyFy has some great movies. But I won't even pay attention to that network until they remake "The Blob." This is a near perfect movie. A small blob grows exponentially until it takes over the earth. Well, it doesn't do that in the movie, but we are lead to believe that is what happens. And I believe it did. They don't make movies like this any more. They all end with happy endings that have nothing to do with reality. Sure the situation is dire. A world covered with 'blob.' But, hey, it is a morality tale. It tells us to appreciate what we have and to protect it. Not make stupid decisions. Funny, I couldn't help but think of the blob when the oil wells started leaking. Anyway, I digress-- I really think this movie would make an awesome remake on the SyFy Channel. But no, they have to do reality series.

It takes a lot of time and dedication to really be able to play some complicated pieces out there. To become a successful guitar player you should focus on first learning the chords. Start by learning chords such as the D major. The open D is played by taking your first finger and press on the second fret of the G string. Roller Derby Madness
Last weekend the roller rink downtown had their grand opening. There was a bunch of people there, and after about two hours, everybody decided to have an old fashioned roller derby game, where people would skate around and try to knock each other over. After a while it got pretty crazy, with elbows flying everywhere. One guy almost broke my nose with his knee. I was about to hit him back when it seemed like I recognized him from somewhere. Sure enough, we belong to the same movie club. We get together on Thursday nights and watch one of the best romance movies ever made. It's kind of a secret club, as most guys don't want to admit that they are fans of romance movies, especially when they are throwing down on the weekend, but we all have a good time. After we realized we knew each other, we teamed up and really delivered some good punches to the other skaters. It was all in good fun, afterward everybody had beer together, and sang old Russian military songs.

Four Guys on the Train
I have a couple of friends that I met while on this crazy European train trip. I bought one of those tickets that lets you go anywhere, so you can pretty much go to any country you want. Except for those dangerous ones that you hear about on the news so much. But anyway, I met these guys while this one guy was trying to hit on this girl by giving her an acoustic guitar lesson. I'm not sure if it worked, because they didn't really leave together. But I'm pretty sure he at least got her number. But before I forgot, I have to tell you about this other guy, who is a master juggler. I'm not sure what country he is from, but they actually have different skill levels of juggling, so that you can ask for more money when you juggle on the street. All you have to do is to show your certificate, and people have to leave you more money or something. It's pretty crazy, let me tell you. But I haven't heard from those guys in a while. I hope they didn't end up in one of those dangerous countries where they do bad things.

Speck 5 (a solo project of creative machine, Alan Currens) is putting out a brand of indie music that defies simple classification. There seems to be no real limitations on style or direction with this artist. Only a serious desire to create. Alan writes, performs, produces and promotes all of his own material, and when you hear it that may seem extremely unlikely. But it's true.
